TERMS OF SERVICE

Leibodex is a public service for recording SHA-256 hash values and related technical artifacts. In ordinary browser flows, your file is hashed locally in your browser and is not uploaded unless a feature clearly says otherwise. Submitted hashes, metadata, verification pages, and related artifacts may become public and may be difficult or impossible to fully remove once copied or mirrored.

Important: Leibodex does not verify identity, authorship, ownership, authenticity, legal validity, signer authority, or chain of custody.

Contracting party

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the Leibodex website, public verification pages, APIs, exports, witness artifacts, gossip artifacts, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). The Service is provided by LEIBODEX LLC, a NM LLC (“Leibodex,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

Acceptance

These Terms apply when Leibodex presents them with a button or checkbox, when you create or use an account or API key, or when you submit a hash or metadata through a workflow that references them. If you do not agree, do not use those features.

Service description

Leibodex records SHA-256 hash values and related technical artifacts in a public append-only system and makes available verification pages, APIs, exports, witness artifacts, gossip artifacts, and related materials. In ordinary browser flows, the file you select is processed locally in your browser to compute a SHA-256 hash. Unless a feature clearly says otherwise, the file itself is not uploaded to Leibodex.

What Leibodex does not verify

Leibodex does not verify identity, authorship, ownership, authenticity, originality, legal validity, signer authority, agency, intent to sign, admissibility, or chain of custody. A Leibodex result is a technical output about hash records and related published artifacts only.

Public nature of submitted information

Hashes, metadata, verification pages, exports, witness artifacts, gossip artifacts, and related materials may be public or disclosed to others. Do not submit personal data, confidential information, trade secrets, or other material unless you are authorized to do so and comfortable with possible public disclosure. Once information is published, copied, mirrored, cached, or independently retained, complete deletion or recall may be impossible.

Acceptable use

You may use the Service only in compliance with these Terms and applicable law. You may submit only information you have the right to submit. You may not use the Service to violate rights, mislead others about authenticity or endorsement, distribute malware, evade sanctions, harass, stalk, dox, abuse, or interfere with the Service.

Prohibited content and metadata

You may not submit metadata, labels, descriptions, URLs, signature-related data, or other material that is unlawful, infringing, fraudulent, defamatory, abusive, privacy-invasive, malicious, or that contains personal data or confidential information you are not authorized to disclose. You may not present a Leibodex output as proof of identity, ownership, authenticity, or legal enforceability.

Suspension, restriction, and removal

Leibodex may reject, rate-limit, suspend, restrict, remove, delist, redact, or stop distributing any submission, metadata, verification page, artifact, account, or API access when Leibodex reasonably believes that action is necessary for legal compliance, intellectual-property claims, privacy, safety, abuse prevention, sanctions, security, fraud prevention, or operational integrity. Because the Service is designed around public append-only records, some relief may be limited to delisting, redaction, access restriction, or stopping further distribution rather than full erasure.

Changes to service and terms

Leibodex may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time. Leibodex may also update these Terms from time to time. If Leibodex makes a material change, it will post the updated Terms and update the Last Updated date, and may provide additional notice where appropriate. Updated Terms apply prospectively from the effective date.

No warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LEIBODEX AND ITS AFFILIATES DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, QUIET ENJOYMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SUFFICIENT FOR ANY PARTICULAR LEGAL, EVIDENTIARY, OR COMMERCIAL PURPOSE.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LEIBODEX AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LEIBODEX’S AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) USD $100 AND (B) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO LEIBODEX FOR THE SERVICE GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.

Indemnity

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Leibodex and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against third-party claims, losses, liabilities, damages, judgments, and reasonable costs (including attorneys’ fees) arising out of or relating to your submissions, your metadata, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.

Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Mexico, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Except where prohibited by law, exclusive jurisdiction and venue for disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will lie in the state or federal courts located in Bernalillo County, New Mexico.
